Coffee ‘may reverse Alzheimer’s’ – new research promising

So, drinking five cups of coffee a day could reverse memory problems seen in Alzheimer’s disease, US scientists say. Not sure how that translates to those without the disease but can’t be all bad – right?

As I said it can’t all be bad for you and the research says that as a prophylactic it could be a good proactive strategy.

“They provide evidence that caffeine could be a viable ‘treatment’ for established Alzheimer’s disease and not simply a protective strategy.”

These researchers seem to have all the good sound bites

“That’s important because caffeine is a safe drug for most people, it easily enters the brain, and it appears to directly affect the disease process.”
